Excellent points. Thank you for including what happened to Victor Perez. Unfortunately, it was a typical response by police in my home state of Idaho. Just training people in techniques such as de- escalation doesn't seem to have much effect on combined personal prejudices and police aggression. What will help turn this around?
I completely agree. I'm so tired of the stigma, the blaming, the questions, the way it all falls in my lap to fit in, to feel like I have to change myself into something more palatable for other people. I'm just me, a human who happens to have bipolar. That's it, that's all. Square peg, round hole.
